Minjon Tholen
Founder & Principal
Minjon Tholen is the Founder and Principal of Tapestry Transformation, a boutique advisory practice that helps organizations align people, purpose, and performance. She partners with executives and teams to strengthen culture, clarify strategy, and build the internal capabilities that allow organizations to thrive from the inside out.
A human-centered systems thinker at heart, Minjon brings nearly two decades of experience leading organizational transformation and culture change across sectors and geographies. Her work is grounded in the belief that internal culture and processes are not separate from the mission — they are part of the mission. She helps leaders see patterns, make meaning, and move forward with intention, integrity, and momentum.
Before launching Tapestry Transformation, Minjon held executive roles at leading mission‑driven organizations. She most recently served as Global Head of Culture, Organizational Development & DEI at Human Rights Watch, and previously as Chief Inclusion & Strategic Innovation Officer at Amnesty International USA. She also served as a Senior Consultant at the global DEI and change‑management firm Cook Ross, co-founded the DEI incubator IDEAS Generation, and served as a Board Member at several organizations, including the Southern Poverty Law Center. In these roles, she has been a trusted thought partner to leaders in a wide variety of organizations on strategy, culture, leadership development, and organizational change and coherence.
Known for her clarity, warmth, and ability to translate complexity into insight, Minjon works at the intersection of people and systems — helping organizations build the conditions where both can thrive. Her approach is values‑led, human‑centered, and deeply relational, shaped by her global background and her belief in the power of connection.
Minjon lives in the Washington, DC area with her partner and their two young children, who keep her grounded, joyful, and attuned to what matters most.
