Minjon Tholen
Founder & CEO
I help organizations live their values, be more effective, and do more of what matters. As a global organizational transformation strategist with deep expertise in people-centered systems-thinking, I partner with organizations to identify gaps and opportunities, align strategic vision with operational performance, and implement practical change initiatives. While the organizations and initiatives vary, central themes in my work are are diversity, equity & inclusion, a deep understanding of organizational processes, and building strong relationships with leaders and staff to support them in becoming more creative and confident change makers.
Minjon was born in Sri Lanka, grew up in The Netherlands, and now lives in the United States with her partner, two young children, and dog. Common themes throughout her personal and professional life have been to foster inclusive community, build lasting bridges, and navigate the “spaces in between”.
While she often initially joined organizations to support them in their DEI journeys, her work always quickly evolved to encompass broader enterprise-level transformation efforts that not only center DEI but also connect a range of other culture and operational imperatives.Over the years, Minjon has developed a love for untangling and resolving strategy, culture, and operational challenges to help unlock an organization’s full potential, both in terms of its values and performance. She is particularly interested in the human elements of systemic change, and the empathy, creativity, and perseverance it takes to make progress towards a shared vision. Ultimately, she wants to make organizations work better for the people that work in them and the people that they serve.
As a senior consultant at a global DEI and change management consulting firm, I have worked with corporations, nonprofits, and public sector institutions around the world to advance their diversity, equity & inclusion and culture change strategies. As an in-house change leader, she served on, and partnered with, senior leadership teams to design and propel large-scale strategic change efforts related to people & culture, operational & strategic planning, and innovation & organizational development. And as a board member, she worked to support long-term organizational priorities and strengthen the collaboration between the board and staff in service of the mission of the organization.
