About tapestry
Organizations are pulled in many directions at once: competing priorities, parallel change initiatives, the daily gap between what they value and how they actually work. The hardest, most consequential work often lives in the spaces no one owns, between strategy and culture, leadership and staff, vision and the everyday, or one initiative and the next.
Tapestry works in exactly those spaces, helping leaders see the whole and the pieces and how they connect, understand the forces beneath them, and see what’s coming in time to design for it. The result is change that is values-aligned, integrated, and built to hold, and organizations that are more intentional, more cohesive, and more effective.

The Why, The What, the Who, and The How
In most organizations, the what, the how, the who, and the why aren’t fully in conversation with each other, even though each one shapes the others. What an organization works on shapes who it attracts and keeps. How it works either expresses why it exists or quietly contradicts it. And the how determines whether it can deliver on the what at all.
We partner with organizations across the full arc of organizational life, steady implementation and refinement, unexpected realignment and disruption, and ambitious growth and transformation, to bring those threads into conversation. Whether the work is leading a complex change, strengthening culture, establishing a new function or system, or navigating a leadership transition, the through-line is always the same: coherence across strategy, people, culture, leadership, and operations, so the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
Every organization is woven from countless threads, people, strategy, structures, culture, and the relationships between them. When they’re aligned, they create a healthy and strong whole. When they’re not, even the most talented people and the most compelling purpose can’t quite hold together.
Too often, change is led one thread at a time: a new strategy here, a culture initiative there, a restructure somewhere else. We work differently. We help organizations move from a patchwork of separate efforts to an integrated whole, weaving the threads of change into something more coherent, durable, and greater than the sum of its parts.
Why Tapestry
The Belief that Guides Our Work
“The way an organization works on the inside isn’t just in service of the mission — it is the mission in practice, inherent to its purpose rather than an afterthought.”
When strategy, culture, leadership, and ways of working are aligned, they turn into momentum. When they’re not, they turn into friction, no matter how talented the team or how compelling the purpose.
How We Work
Our approach is values-led, systems-oriented, and grounded in nearly two decades inside some of the world’s most complex organizations. In practice, that means we:
Start with connection and understanding. We take the time to understand the organization and build relationships across departments, leadership, and stakeholders listening for both the pieces and the whole and what’s really happening beneath the surface and what’s truly needed before deciding what to do about it.
Design with clarity and foresight. We read patterns, interdependencies, and systemic forces to help leaders gain clarity about the present and anticipate what’s ahead, and design for the outcome they want.
Work across the whole system. We take a 360 degree approach and attend to how stakeholders, functions, and initiatives across strategy, culture, leadership, operations connect, where they pull against each other, and what shifts when one changes.
•Focus on process and outcome. How change is led is part of the outcome, not separate from it. So we design the process to embody the change itself. The way we work is where we demonstrate and practice the outcome we’re building towards to build trust, engagement, and ownership.
Build capacity, not dependency. The measure of success isn’t continued reliance on Tapestry. It’s more capable and confident, more aligned, and more resilient teams, leaders, and organizations that can lead their own change and transformation efforts.
Tapestry works with mission-driven organizations, including NGOs and purpose-driven companies, closing the gap between stated values and lived culture and building transformation that is not only effective but enduring.
